Only a month to go!

Today is my official 8 months pregnant mark -- hooray! Now I feel like we're really getting somewhere, like there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I need to start getting ready, since this baby with probably need some things besides headbands and big pink flowers... (I dunno, though -- they're so cute maybe that IS all she needs!)

Sammy is very enthusiastic about being 4 1/2. His favorite thing right now is drawing and writing stories -- he is getting so creative! Unfortunately, he's also been expressing that creativity on the walls, couches, and pretty much every surface in the basement, so he lost his art supplies for a few days.

Joshy is still a big me-too-er, but he's also got his own funny, quirkly little personality. A big thing for him the past couple days has been finding sticks and waving them like a baton, ordering anyone in the vicinity to "make music!" We tried the "toilet training in less than a day" method with him last week (thanks again, Mom, for your valiant effort!), but that was a bust. He is definitely capable of controlling his bladder now but seems to have developed a fear of going peepee in the potty. I think we're just going to forget potty training until we're in a good rhythm after the baby is born.

Dan has been super busy getting ready to take ownership of the Jordan Landing store (and getting the rest of the company and new owners to make the transition to contract stores as well). It's a bit scary, but a very exciting opportunity. We'll keep you posted as to how that's going!

Sorry about the potty training in less than a day thing . . . never meant to lead you astray. :(

It worked like a charm on Sammy! I think it's just not right for Joshy, but we'll get him in the end.
